One of the most common questions we get asked here at Blender Guru is how to open .x files in Blender. The answer is actually quite simple - all you need is the free and open source Blender software, which you can download from the Blender website.

Once you have Blender installed, open it up and go to File > Import > COLLADA (.dae) in the top menu. This will bring up a file browser window. Navigate to the location of your .x file and select it.

Click the Import COLLADA button in the bottom right corner of the window and your .x file will be imported into Blender. You can now use all of Blender's powerful tools to edit and render your 3D model.

Q: How do I open an imported file in Blender?

A: To open an imported file in Blender, first open Blender and then go to File > Import > [file type]. Find the file you want to import and select it. The file will then be imported into Blender.

Q: How do I convert PMX to Blender?

A: There is no official way to convert PMX files to Blender. However, there are some unofficial ways that may work for you.

One way is to use the PMX Importer plugin for Blender. This plugin is still in development, so it may not work perfectly, but it should be able to import most PMX files into Blender.

Another way is to use a third-party converter tool. There are a few different converter tools available online, but we cannot endorse any specific one. You will need to do some research to find a converter tool that works for you.
