A tile texture is a repeating pattern of images that can be used to create backgrounds or surfaces in Blender. Tile textures are often used for floors and walls, and can be created from almost any image.
To create a tile texture, open an image in Blender and go to the UV/Image Editor. In the UV/Image Editor, click on the Image menu and select New Image. This will open a new window where you can name your image and select the file format. Choose a file format that supports transparency, such as PNG.
Once you have created a new image, go to the UV/Image Editor and select the image you just created. In the UV/Image Editor, click on the Image menu and select Open. This will open the image in the UV/Image Editor.
In the UV/Image Editor, select the part of the image you want to use for the tile texture. To do this, click on the Select menu and choose Box Select. Then, click and drag a box around the part of the image you want to use.
Once you have selected the part of the image you want to use, go to the UV/Image Editor and click on the Image menu. Select Crop to Selection. This will crop the image so that only the part of the image you selected is visible.
Now that you have cropped the image, go to the UV/Image Editor and click on the Image menu. Select Save As. Choose a file format that supports transparency, such as PNG. Name your image and click Save.
Your image is now ready to be used as a tile texture. To use the image as a tile texture, go to the Materials panel and select the material you want to use the tile texture with. In the Texture panel, click on the New button. This will open a new texture window.
In the texture window, select Image from the drop-down menu. This will open the image you just saved. Select the image and click Open.
The image will now be used as the tile texture for the selected material.
