The default keymap in Blender 2.8 has been entirely remapped to improve the user experience. In this post, we will go over all the new keyboard shortcuts that have been added in Blender 2.8.

There are a few things to note about the new keymap:

Blender 2.8 has a new keymap that is optimized for ergonomics. The new keymap has been designed to reduce strain on your hands and fingers, and to make it easier to access all of the important functions in Blender.

The new keymap is based on the principle of least action. This means that the keys that are used most often are placed in the most convenient locations, and that the keys that are used less often are placed in less convenient locations.

The new keymap is designed to be easy to learn and remember. The most important functions in Blender are assigned to the most intuitive keys, so that you can quickly learn where to find them.

The new keymap is designed to be fully customizable. You can change any of the key assignments to suit your own needs and preferences.
