development priorities for 2019
The Blender Foundation and the Development team are excited to share with you the roadmap for Blender's development priorities for 2019. The roadmap is the result of a year-long planning process that included many discussions, debates, and iterations.
The goal of this roadmap is to focus and guide the development of Blender over the next year. It is not a detailed plan of what will be developed and when, but rather a set of priorities that will help the team make decisions about what to work on next.
The roadmap is divided into four sections:
- Core priorities
- Community priorities
- Outreach priorities
- Technical priorities
The first three sections list the areas that we think are most important for Blender's development in the next year. The fourth section lists some technical improvements that we think are important, but that are not as high of a priority as the other three.
