Blender 2.9 is a free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, video editing and 2D animation pipeline.

Blender 2.9 introduces a new Grease Pencil tool, which allows you to draw directly on the 3D viewport. Grease Pencil is ideal for creating 2D animations, storyboards, concept art, and more.

Blender 2.9 also introduces a new physics engine, called Bullet. Bullet is a powerful physics engine that enables you to create realistic simulations.

Grease Pencil

To use the Grease Pencil tool, simply select it from the toolbar. Then, click and drag to draw on the viewport.

To change the color of the Grease Pencil strokes, simply click on the color swatch in the toolbar.

To change the thickness of the strokes, use the slider in the toolbar.

Bullet

The Bullet physics engine is a powerful physics engine that enables you to create realistic simulations.

To use the Bullet physics engine, simply select it from the toolbar. Then, click and drag to create objects in the scene.

To add a force to an object, simply select the object and click on the “Add Force” button in the toolbar.

To simulate the scene, simply click on the “Simulate” button in the toolbar.

Eevee

The Eevee rendering engine is a real-time rendering engine that produces high-quality results.

To use the Eevee rendering engine, simply select it from the toolbar. Then, click on the “Render” button in the toolbar.

To change the quality of the render, use the slider in the toolbar.

To save the render, simply click on the “Save” button in the toolbar.
